Social Media Visuals: AIGA Cleveland

As the current Social Media Chair for AIGA Cleveland, I am responsible for visually communicating events and updates within the Cleveland area. Our social media outreach primarily targets creatives in their mid-twenties who are looking to expand their networks and skills. Based on this demographic, each committee decides what to share with the community, and I then visualize how this content will appear in our digital space.

In the saturated social media landscape, AIGA needs a distinctive brand presence. Guided by our headquarters' style guide, we focus on user-friendly typography, bold colors, and community-centric photography to define our brand. Additionally, staying abreast of trends and understanding what drives impressions and engagement is crucial.

During my time in this role, I have concentrated on promoting content through the Reels feature, showcasing events we have hosted, and incorporating this feature into our event promotions and collaborations. Keep scrolling to find some of those examples I have created!

Below is a glimpse into our most active social media platform, Instagram. To effectively manage content creation, we use Meta Business Suite to stay organized and visualize how each piece of content will appear on our feed.

Creating Fandom Through Design: The Cleveland Cavaliers’ Design Team

Produced a reel showcasing speakers from the Cleveland Cavaliers Design, incorporating the Cavaliers' signature colors—black, gold, and wine—along with sports-themed typography. The addition of small icons related to the speakers' roles and the sport itself provided an opportunity to include engaging animations. The post significantly exceeded expectations, garnering over 6,000 views and engaging more than 200 accounts. This resulted in a diverse and substantial audience for the exceptional team of speakers.

Adobe Create Now Cleveland

Documented the exciting Adobe Create Now Cleveland event, where Adobe speakers unveiled the latest features in Illustrator, Photoshop, and Adobe Express. This remarkable event was a standout collaboration with AIGA Cleveland, providing a unique platform to connect with a vibrant community of talented creatives. The opportunity to engage with such a diverse group and witness firsthand the innovative advancements in Adobe's suite of tools was truly inspiring.
